Relevant Information: http://www.webwideword.com Brief summary of the item: A website where you can post a link to your site or your favourite sites. The difference is you have to add it to the crossword style grid so that it fits in with the other words. You can move your mouse over the words and see what the other words are about and click to go to their websites. These links are not a sneaky way of getting you to click on ads but genuine links added by other people. You don't even have to give a link back to them! Good Points: Very neat interface. Positioning the word in the grid is implemented in an excellent manner. The letters colour code to tell you whether the place is valid or not. It's an Ajax Web 2.0 style site and is very responsive over a broadband link. You get a free link to your sites or if you've more time lots of free links. There doesn't appear to be anything in place to stop you linking to the same site in more than one place. The tagline of the site is "aiming to be the world's largest word grid", well all I can say is good luck and if you make it then I'm proud to say that my words are part of it. Bad Points: The site is a bit rough around the edges. A nice logo would help (in fact the author is asking if anyone is kind enough to make him one in the about section), obviously he's not of a creative kind. Also because the links are dynamically populated with Ajax they are not picked up by Google, etc so don't count towards your rankings. However, the author does have plans to provide directory style pages showing all words on the grid in a manner that will be picked up by Google. General Comments: The good points outweigh the bad points. If this site gets the visitors it could really take off. I've put a few links on the site and picked up a small amount of traffic from it but I didn't need to give a link back (and haven't but I'm writing this as a kind of thank you). If we get the directory listing up and Google, etc index them then that wuold be an improvement. Overall, get over there, add your word and as the author says in his low quality text based logo "Spread the WebWideWord" User reviews

Good Points: Great way to get free links to your site in a unique manner. Bad Points: As the original reviewer mentioned, it could do with a little more "polish". General Comments: Fun and unique site. It's unusual and refreshing to find something "different" on the web these days.
