Brief summary of the item: A build it yourself electronic kit from Velleman. Build your own Classic Pong game. 1 or 2 players. 4 Levels of difficulty. £10 from Maplin.com Good Points: Teaches you to solder electrical components. Quick to build. No electrical knowledge required. Hours of fun once built. Can be played on your own with 4 levels of difficulty, or against a friend. Bad Points: Looks quite messy unless you put it in a case. General Comments: So I've never soldered before. Don't know a resistor from a capacitor. In front of me I have a PCB with lots of components. Time to panic. Actually no it's not. Aside from the fact I had an engineer sat next to me, it's actually very difficult to go wrong. All the components are clearly labelled and even the PCB has little pictures of what goes where. The instructions come with both simple drawings and a schematic diagram. The end product works really well, and even has sound and a brigntness switch. Overall a great little project to build.
