Brief summary of the item: Comedy action film, When top cop Nicholas Angel (Simon Pegg) is re-assigned to a quiet town called Standford he struggles with the crime free world until....So called accidents start happening Good Points: This is the kind of film that everytime you try and take it seriously it becomes stupid again, Pegg is fantastic, being serious even if it's actually funny, the story is ridiculous and is so ridiculous that you won't see the twist that comes, Danny (Nick Frost) shows how much of a dick brain he can be again as his partner , Jim Broadbent convinces you, as the dippy head of Sandford police along with the smooth coniving character played by Timothy Dalton Bad Points: Seems slightly long although if i told you that it was a 2hr film you wouldn't watch it, BUT it doesn't seem to drag General Comments: If you liked Shaun Of The Dead then you will love this, its in that standard of stupidity, it shows that the Frost/Pegg partnership still works well, watch for just the comedy deaths, its not a laugh a min comedy as such but you will find it funny, basically its british film making at it it's best! Good Points: Simon Pegg! The guy is hilarious even when he is trying to be serious, which he does for most of the film. Bad Points: The end possibly drags on a little long. General Comments: This film is British comedy at its best. The plot is completely ridicolous. But it's brilliant, with more twists than a roller coaster. It is however very easy to follow, and will leave you with your sides aching.
