Relevant Information: Also known as 'Live free or die hard'. Starring Bruce Willis, Timothy Olyphant and Justin Long. Directed by Len Wiseman. Brief summary of the item: When a criminal plot is in place to take down the entire computer and technological structure that supports the economy of the United States (and the world), it's up to a decidedly "old school" hero, police detective John McClane, to take down the conspiracy, aided by a young hacker. Good Points: - Bruce Willis. The man may be nearing 50 but he still has it. The 'one liners' (again, Bruce Willis) Some fantastic action scenes Bad Points: The plot is slightly unbelievable at times. General Comments: Bruce Willis is back as Detective John McClane. This time he is trying to stop ex-government super geek Thomas Gabriel (Timothy Olyphant) from bringing down the infrastructure of the United States. McClane (Willis) is tasked with picking up geek Matt Farrell (Justin Long) who has unwittingly helped Thomas Gabriel with his plan to unleash a firesale on the American Infrastructure. This involves a three-step plan to bring down the entire American infrastructure. From power to traffic control. Everything that uses a computer will come to a halt. Matt realises his mistake and tries to help McClane stop the disaster. Can NYPD Cop McClane save the day again, or has he bitten off more than he can chew this time? Particularly as Gabriel knows the location of McClane's daughter... The action is non-stop in this installment of the Die Hard franchise. While the movie doesn't have the same cheesy feel as the first 3 movies, it shows that despite Willis's age, he still has what it takes to do the action. The plot is slightly unbelievable at times, but this is more than made up for by Willis's 'one-liners'. Watch out for the car vs the helicopter. Also the truck vs the F35 fighter jet... The action is bigger, the plot is bigger, the threat is bigger. This is John McClane at his best. User reviews

Good Points: THE one-liner of the movie: "... at the bottom of a lift shaft with an SUV up her ass!" Bad Points: Dumb ending.
