Brief summary of the item: The resort of Cala Millor is great for just about everybody and there are plenty of good hotels with a fair range of prices. Good Points: The resort is flat, so there are no problems for elderly or disabled and you can easily walk to the little harbour at Cala Bona, which can take about an hour to an hour and a half whilst browsing the shops on the way. Our favourite hotel is the Castell de Mar which looks out onto the sea, all rooms have a sea view or side sea view; the staff are wonderful and very friendly and helpful. The restaurant is buffet style and there is always plenty of choice, so no need to go hungry. There is also a terrace leading off from the restaurant where you can have your breakfast if you prefer, overlooking the pool and the sea. The hotel has a slight Art Deco theme and is very tastefully done with a wonderful marble foyer and grand marble staircase leading up to a marble balustraded circular balcony. The restuarant leads off from this. Bad Points: Can't think of any off hand, except that for some the 40 minute to an hours drive from the airport (by taxi) may be a bad point. General Comments: Cala Millor is also only a 20 minute public bus ride from Porto Christo and the Caves of Drac. The Hotel Castell de Mar has a sister hotel within 5 minutes walk which is the Play del Moro. This hotel is smaller but is equally well situated and evening entertainment is divided between the 2 hotels so those who prefer a quiet evening can use the bar at the hotel where there is no entertainment that night. We think this is brilliant as it caters for everyone. Not everyone likes to sit through an evening of singing or dancing or whatever, so the choice of relaxing with a drink, chatting, playing cards or even watching TV is there for those who prefer it.
