Brief summary of the item: Indian Restaurant in Cross Street, Tenbury Wells, Worcestershire Good Points: This is a small Indian restaurant in a traditional market town in Worcestershire. It has been open for a number of years now and has won several awards. It is run by the humorous and knowledgeable "Raj" and his hard-working team who are always efficient and patient. Service is personal, perhaps owing to the size of the community and the regularity of some customers, yet never invasive. The menu changes to a degree annually, yet favourites remain. The chefs' repertoires are diverse and they are able to alter dishes to suit the individual palate without prior notice. Bit more spice? Not a problem. Extra garlic? Done! Restricted-texture vegetarian diet? All in a day's work. The menu varies from English meals to tradition India, to blow-your-head-off stupid-strength Vindaloo or Madras. With Coriander Chilli rice and extra chilli if that's your taste. Good deserts to put out the fire and excellent beer round off a great meal experience every time. As with any good Indian restaurant, there is a selection of starters, popadums, naans and rices. The bar is also well-stocked. Almost all the time, beer and popadums are on the table within a couple of minutes of arrival. No unnecessary waiting in this restaurant. Reservations are taken and they can cater for large groups. They can also usually accept customers just turning up with minimum fuss. An excellent place to eat out. Bad Points: None General Comments: See above User reviews
