Relevant Information: A Continuation of the popular footy franchise Brief summary of the item: Normally these type of games are just extensions on previous games, now if this was true then this would have fallen flat on it's face, although previous versions haven't been bad they have ALWAYS been in the shadow and beaten hands down by the IS Pro lot, NOT THIS TIME! Good Points: This ain't a FIFA game by any means, when you first play this the whole footy engine has been revamped so much so that the ball actually moves like a ball, its as smooth as a pair of young womens br...(over 18 of course lol) It runs really well, loading times are minimal, the quality managerial mode is back ,But now even better, all the transfers are up to date and you can still modify players in terms of stats, then you have the footy skills, they have bought back the skill stick, which this time actually works lol, tap twice left and you suddenly move quickly left, tap left right and you perform a fake left before moving right, there are so many other tricks, you just have to play it to find out, the better the player the more the skills or the quicker the skill is delivered, gone have the corner no. choosing and the really easy freekick scoring, now you have to judge aim, power etc, just to add to that you can now stop the ball, which means if it's running out of play, no longer do you have to hit and hope you can curl it back in, just by pressing and holding R2 can the ball just stop and then you can skillfully move in, add to that L2 a new technique called a finesse shot, hold this with the usual shot button (o) and you will fake the goalkeeper before shooting in the opposite corner, the game is loaded with class, also you can now start managerial mode with a decent team rather than having to play with usual bottom of the barrel rubbish.....no offence stevenage lol Bad Points: The commentary as always is repetetive, and Andy Gray loves going on about "The better players don't miss chances, they score etc." freekicks are near impossible to score on but thats probably more of a challenge then a bad point General Comments: If you've played FIFA games in the past and haven't liked the wooden passing, this is so different, its loaded with new options, improved fluidity, marking skills, footy skills, a still fantastic managerial mode with hours and hours of play, what was once in the shadow is now sitting proudly on top of the football pile, lets hope 2008 delivers this and more User reviews
