Relevant Information: http://www.tabithasuzuma.com/ Brief summary of the item: Flynn is in his first year at the Royal Acadamy of Music, and is a gifted pianist who looks set to go far. He's going to take part in an important concert and everything seems to be going well, but on the inside he's begun a downward spiral that switches between elation and despair at a terrifying pace. Good Points: This book amazed me. I had read reviews of it saying it was good, but I like to judge for myself, and I think I was actually surprised at how taken in I was by the characters. I found myself feeling Flynn's moods - when he was high, I felt high too, and when he was low I found myself feeling desperate for him. I just felt bipolar disorder was written in such an accessible way that we could all relate. Bad Points: This is technically a "young adult" book - not a problem in itself, but it means that it may get overlooked by some older teens and adults, and I think that would be a great shame. General Comments: I would recommend this book to anyone who is interested in this theme/topic. I thought it was fantastic, but can appreciate that it might not appeal to all. However, don't be put off thinking it is going to be completely depressing, as it's not. But it is realistic, I think. User reviews
