Relevant Information: Author: Enid Blyton Brief summary of the item: Three tales of an enchanted wood and a magic faraway tree filled with the magical characters like Saucepan Man and Moonface! Good Points: My Dad used to read these to me as a child, and I picked them up again when I graduated from University and still loved them! The different lands at the top of the faraway tree are fun and magical and it's exciting to follow each adventure. Bad Points: If you buy a recent copy, names will have been changed (for some stupid reason) and other things will have been altered in the name of 'political correctness'. I have also heard that in modern reprints, the character of Dame Slap has been re-named to Dame Snap - she no longer slaps kids, she just shouts loudly at them....oh dear. General Comments: I'm going to base my rating on the books that i love - the originals! I urge you to try and get hold of the older copies and not the new, altered version. User reviews

General Comments: I've only read the first two (were there more than two)? Yes, great books. Very imaginative and exciting.
