The story begins with the birth of a new foal, who then meets a bumblebee who takes him on a tour of the farm where they both live. General Comments: As a teacher, it is important to me to find picture books that both teach a lesson and excite my students. This book is beautifully illustrated and teaches a lesson of compassion, tolerance, and friendship as a new born foal is befriended by a bumblebee that takes the foal on a tour of the farm and along the way introduces him to a number of animals who live on the farm.
