Relevant Information: Biography - by Alexander Masters Brief summary of the item: Stuart Shorter is a 'chaotic' homeless person. He has a history of alcoholism, drug adiction, glue sniffing, abuse, muscular dystrophy and mental problems among others - yet you still feel for him and admire him when despite his past he still cares enough to fight strongly to obtain the release of two care workers wrongly imprisoned and you find yourself caring about the outcome of his life - told in reverse. Good Points: You see another side of 'the homeless' and some people's eyes will be opened to the fact that it isn't as simple as 'just' getting a job. There are many things up against a person once they become homeless. Because the story is told backwards, you see Stuart as he most recently was and then slowly discover the rest of his past - which is the way he wanted it told. Bad Points: Can be a bit confusing as it's not SOLELY told backwards. General Comments: I think this is something that should be read by those who have a very shallow, narrowminded view of what it is to be homeless. User reviews
